Funding for PhD scholarship from Sino-Danish Center

Associate Professor Lars G. Hanson has received a grant from Sino-Danish Center.

The grant is earmarked for a PhD scholarship in 'Prospective Motion Correction of MRI'.The application for Sino-Danish Center is co-written with a PhD candidate who is at present being reviewed by DTU Elektro's PhD committee.

The PhD applicant holds a MSc in Neuroscience and Neuroimaging from Sino-Danish Center for Education and Research at Aarhus University. The PhD project will focus on novel motion tracking and correction approaches for MRI, especially aimed at neuroimaging at ultra-high magnetic field. 

Main Supervisor will be Lars G. Hanson, with Associate Professor Kristoffer Madsen from DTU Compute and Prof Rong Xue from Chinese Academy of Science, Institute of Biophysics, as co-Supervisors. 


About Sino-Danish Center

Sino-Danish Center (SDC) is a partnership between all eight Danish universities, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).

SDC’s activities include Danish-Chinese research collaboration within five selected focus areas, seven affiliated Master’s programmes with an annual intake of approximately 150 master’s students and training of a large number of PhD students. 

The overall objective is to promote and strengthen collaboration between Danish and Chinese learning environments and increase mobility of students and researchers between Denmark and China.

Sino-Danish Center is located at UCAS' Zhongguancun Campus in Beijing.
