Christian Kjeldsen has joined HYPERMAG as Postdoc from 1 May.

Christian Kjeldsen joins the HYPERMAG Center of Excellence for a two-year Postdoc position. His main research focus will be using hyperpolarization by dissolution Dynamic Nuclear Polarization to investigate carbohydrates and their enzymatic hydrolysis.

Recent developments in hyperpolarization methods at the center have provided new opportunities in polarizing water to a high extent. This has opened new possibilities towards investigating reactions with water and in assessing the difference between water close to interfaces and in the bulk in a chemical and biophysical context.

Christian Kjeldsen did his PhD project in Structural elucidation of polysaccharides and investigations of enzymatic synthesis of oligosaccharides using NMR spectroscopy at DTU Chemistry. Part of his PhD research was carried out at the HYPERMAG facilities.
