Alessio Boldrin is Associate Professor in the field of waste and resource management at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. He holds a double M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering (University of Padua and DTU, 2005) and holds a Ph.D. in Waste Management (DTU, 2009). His Postdoc focused on sustainability of biofuel production from waste and energy crops. Past reasearch activities included both practical and technological aspects (e.g. waste characterization, gaseous pollutants measurements) and methodological issues (e.g. LCA modelling, resource assessment). Current research activities deal with environmental modelling of integrated waste and resource management systems, biogas production and nanowaste. Since 2007, he has been member of the ISWA Working Group on Biological Treatment of Waste. In 2011, he was awarded as Top Reviewer of "Waste Management". He has co-authored about >35 peer-reviewed ISI papers. Alessio has been involved in projects for Danish municipalities, the Danish Research Council, the Danish EPA, EU-FP7, and EU-H2020.
