Heidi Birch

Heidi Birch is senior researcher in fate and exposure of organic chemicals in the aquatic environment at the Department of Environmental Engineering, DTU. She has a PhD in monitoring of priority pollutants in dynamic stormwater discharges from urban areas (DTU, 2012). Her post doc research focused on the use of passive dosing techniques within biodegradation testing and solubility testing. Her current research focus is on biodegradation kinetics testing and persistence of difficult to test chemicals such as Hydrophobic Organic Chemicals (HOCs) and complex mixtures (UVCBs).
