In the lab cells from different taxonomies can be cultivated. We have shaking incubators for growing yeast and bacteria as well as CO2 incubators for cultivating mammalian cells. For a highly controlled growth environment a bioreactor for cultures between 50 and 300 ml is available.
The Cell Lab is placed next door to our DNP polarizers and NMR magnets. This close proximity allows fast and convenient transfer of sensitive samples for real-time monitoring of cellular reactions with the DNP technique.
